Dec.18-19, 2021, Living History, Seminole War, 10 am - 4 pm, Reenactment 3 pm both days Featuring all 3 Seminole Wars, from 1817 - 1858, with an emphasis on the 2nd Seminole War First-person impression of historical figures Authentic native and pioneer skill demonstrations Author and historian Dale Cox and author and professor Dr. Anthony Dixon This event is presented in special partnership with the Seminole Wars Foundation and a grant from Florida Humanities. Pre-registration required Field Trip Day information, registration and lesson plans SW Next Generation Sunshine State Standards SS.4.A.1.1: Analyze primary and secondary resources to identify significant individuals and events throughout Florida history. SS.4.A.3.10: Identify the causes and effects of the Seminole Wars.
